What is Driven By Her?
Driven By Her is an education-driven resource with the aim of providing young girls with access to the world of motorsport and help foster an understanding of the industry and how they can get involved. The campaign works closely with schools and teachers across Key Stages 2 and 3 to deliver fun and effective strategies for young female involvement.
There is a lack of female involvement within motorsport, and here's why
There has been an absence of female representation in motorsports since its inception"[1]" due to a range of contributing factors such as:
- Lack of grassroots initatives
- Lack of sponsorship
- Underrepresentation in the media and across the industry
Driven By Her's Objectives:
- Increase understanding of motorsport as a viable career option across subjects.
- Increase female participation in motorsport careers through school programs.
- Providing opportunity for a more diverse, inclusive and gender-balanced industry.
